Terms & Conditions

Effective 31 October 2026

1. These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Shadow Sim (the “service”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, signing in or using any part of the service — including the downloadable relay tool — you accept them.

If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. What Shadow Sim is

Shadow Sim is a free, independently operated web application that analyses telemetry broadcast by the PC game EA SPORTS F1 25. It provides session records, race pace and tyre analysis, live dashboards, lap comparison and optional written coaching notes.

It is not a game, a mod, a cheat or a training aid that alters gameplay. It does not provide any in-race advantage, does not modify the game files, and does not interact with the game's online services.

3. Your account

You need an account to use the app. Give accurate details, keep your password private, and use your own account only — you are responsible for activity that happens through it.

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to consent to data processing where you live, to create an account.

Tell us promptly through the contact page if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

4. Acceptable use

Use the service for your own racing and analysis. Do not use it to break the law, to attack or overload the service, to scrape or bulk-extract data, to probe or bypass access rules, to reach another person's sessions, or to upload anything other than telemetry from your own game.

Do not attempt to reverse engineer, resell, sublicense or rebrand the service or the relay tool, and do not present the service as your own product.

5. Free service, and changes

Shadow Sim is currently free to use. All plans are free while billing is not enabled, and no payment details are requested anywhere in the app.

Features may be added, changed or removed, and the service may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or permanent availability, and we do not guarantee storage of your data indefinitely — export or keep your own records if you need them permanently.

6. Your data

What is collected, why, who processes it and how to delete it is set out in the privacy policy and the cookies page, which form part of these terms.

You keep ownership of your telemetry and session data. You can erase all of it yourself from the account page at any time.

7. Written coaching notes

Coaching text is generated by an AI model from measured values in the laps you selected. It is informational only and may contain mistakes or general advice that does not suit your car, setup or driving style.

Check anything before acting on it. It is not professional coaching, engineering or safety advice.

8. The relay tool

The relay is a small program you download and run on your own computer. It is provided as-is, without warranty, and you run it at your own risk.

It only forwards the telemetry your game already broadcasts to the session you configured. You are responsible for keeping your session token private.

9. Third-party names

Shadow Sim is an unofficial companion tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by EA, Codemasters or Formula 1. Game, team, driver and circuit names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility and to label your own data.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. Race pace, tyre, classification and coaching figures are estimates derived from game data and should not be treated as measurements of a real car.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost time or lost opportunity arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country.

11. Ending your access

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account and data from the account page.

We may suspend or close an account that is used to attack the service, to harass, to infringe intellectual property, or to break these terms.

12. Changes, and which law applies

If these terms change, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where the service's operator is established, and disputes are handled by the courts there — without affecting any mandatory protection you have where you live.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page. We aim to answer within 30 days.
